Luann Jacobs, SLP/ RMT, is retired from an active forty plus years as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in adult rehabilitation and cognitive retraining in functional environments. In addition to a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Indiana University, she is a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui School of Natural Healing, a graduate in Shamanic studies from The Polarity Center, and a pioneer in the use of heart rate variability biofeedback to assess the benefit of Reiki.

Luann is founder and director (1998) of Reiki Services for the GW Center for Integrative Medicine; for the GW Hospital Reiki Relaxation Program ; and for the GW Breast Care Center. In 2013 Luann and Health Partners, a 501c3, brought Reiki and Biofeedback to the N Street Village Women’s Day Program and Shelter.

Luann provides both individual and group Reiki training for all levels (first, second, and third degree, master and master teacher.) Individual training is provided at the GW Center for Integrative Medicine by registering as a patient and signing up for an initial session. Group classes for Reiki First and Second Degree are taught several times a year with co-leader Yael Flusberg, Reiki Master and Yoga Therapist, and Mara Benner. Our class dates are posted on our Facebook page and website calendar. Advanced training classes (Master Classes and Reiki Fellowship) are decided through interview with Luann.

Reiki Share, a free group experience for all levels of Reiki, meets one Thursday evening a month from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Participants meet for introductions and brief discussion before assembling into small groups for the experience of giving and receiving Reiki.
